Dr. Wirongrong is a Lecturer in the Department of Clinical
Tropical Medicine and a physician at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases. She
has a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Science,
both from Mahidol University, Thailand. She actively teaches and supervises
graduate and postgraduate students at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Wirongrong is an expert in infectious diseases, with
special interests in melioidosis, leptospirosis, scrub typhus, and tuberculosis.
She has broad experience in conducting clinical trials, having led and been
involved in a number of clinical trials during her tenure at the Faculty of
Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. Dr. Wirongrong is regarded as one of the
top melioidosis authorities within Thailand.
