Background

Dr. Borimas Hanboonkunupakarn is a lecturer in the Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine and a physician at Hospital for Tropical Diseases. She teaches students from the D.T.M. &H., M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine. She has a Ph.D. in Anatomy, Doctor of Medicine degree, and Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, all from Mahidol University, Thailand.

Dr. Borimas is expert in clinical trials, and pharmacokinetics of anti-malarial drugs. She has a broad background in vector-borne infectious diseases, such as dengue, in which she studies the factors affecting clinical manifestations of the disease.
