Background

Dr. Sarunya is Lecturer in the Department of Tropical Nutrition and Food Science. She is involved in research in the department and teaching at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine. She obtained her M.Agr. and PhD degrees in Nutritional Biochemistry from Hokkaido University, Japan.

Dr. Sarunya is a nutrition specialist with research focusing on Thai elderly health and role for body acupuncture and auricular acupressure in the treatment of obesity. She has special interest in community nutrition, biochemical nutrition, food science and biotechnology.
