Dr.
Khuanchai Koompapong is a Lecturer in the Department of Protozoology. He
obtained his B.Sc. in Public Health from Khon Kaen University. He has a Ph.D.
in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University, and a Medical Doctor degree from the
Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. He teaches
Diploma, M.Sc., and Ph.D. students at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.
He is involved in research in his Department.
Dr.
Khuanchai is an expert in the life sciences, particularly the molecular
epidemiology of Cryptosporidium spp. He is experienced in
utilizing molecular techniques for the diagnosis of intestinal protozoa and
opportunistic protozoa. He is especially interested in understanding the
zoonotic and environmental transmission of intestinal protozoa and the clinical
aspects of parasitic infections.
