Background

Dr. Saengduen Moonsom is Assistant Professor in the Department of Protozoology. She has M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering from Mahidol University. Dr. Saengduen teaches students from the Diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Saengduen’s expertise are molecular biology and immunology, protein science, monoclonal production, and antibody protein characterization. Her research focuses on development of an improved diagnostic tools for pathogens. She has a special interest in molecular and cellular studies on pathogenesis of human infected bacteria or protozoa.
