Background

I am a certified infectious diseases physician, having completed the Thai Board of Infectious Diseases in 2016. In 2018, I also earned a certificate in tropical medicine and traveler's health from the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH). With extensive training and experience in epidemiology, including a PhD in Epidemiology from Mahidol University, I possess strong skills in study design, data analysis, and statistical methods. I have also completed advanced training programs in clinical research and epidemiological analysis from Harvard University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), respectively.  As part of my current role, I provide consultation for infectious diseases at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, as well as in private hospitals. I have extensive experience in managing various infectious diseases and tropical medicine. As a highly experienced medical coder for multiple clinical trials under BIOPHICS (Excellence Center for Biomedical and Public Health Informatics), I have honed my expertise in data management. Through my work at BIOPHICS, I gained extensive experience in managing complex clinical data, including that of COVID-19 vaccine trials.

Departments/Centers

Research

My research mainly focus on vaccine preventable diseases in various aspects of epidemiology, disease surveillance, vaccine effectiveness, and economic evaluations. Currently, I have been working on pneumococcal diseases and Japanese encephalitis. My expertise in infectious disease consultation and clinical research, as well as my experience working with tropical medicine, make me well-suited to contribute to my research by providing clinical insights and expertise in clinical and epidemiological data collection, and data analysis. My expertise in epidemiology and statistical analysis, including statistical analysis methodology and sample size estimation, will be invaluable for the proposed study, particularly in the collection, curation, and analysis of clinical and epidemiological data.
