Background

Dr. Supaluk Popruk is Assistant Professor in the Department of Protozoology. She obtained her B.Sc. in Medical Technology from Naresuan University and Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University. She teaches students from the Diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine in the topics related to Medical Protozoology.

Expertise of Dr. Supaluk include diagnosis of pathogenic protozoa, zoonotic protozoa, and Blastocystis spp. Her primary research area is molecular genetics of intestinal protozoa as well as antiprotozoal activity of herbs against Giardia duodenalis She is especially interested in the further development for of intestinal protozoa diagnosis.
