Background

Dr. Usa Boonyuen is Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Tropical Medicine and Genetics. Her outstanding proficiency in chemistry were recognized nationally, receiving prestigious scholarships by the Thai Government to pursue doctoral degrees abroad. In 2008, she received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Research

Dr. Usa is expert in biochemistry, molecular biology and diagnostics. She has a special interest in developing a rapid diagnostic kit for G6PD deficiency testing to support radical cure of vivax malaria.
