Background

Dr. Onrapak Reamtong is Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Tropical Medicine and Genetics. She earned her B.Sc. in Biochemistry and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. She finished her Ph.D. in Chemistry at University of Manchester, United Kingdom. She is involved in research in the department and teaching at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.

Research

Dr. Onrapak specializes in mass spectrometry (MS) based analysis of biological compounds. MS is a novel, high-throughput technology with great sensitivity and accuracy for the study of biological molecule study. Dr Onrapak Reamtong’s research focuses on applying MS to the field of tropical disease studies in order to discover novel diagnostic methods, vaccine candidates and drug treatments.
