Background

Dr. Naowarat Saralamba is Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Tropical Medicine and Genetics. She obtained her B.Sc. in Biology, M.Sc. in Biochemistry, and Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University. She is involved in research in the department and teaching at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.

Research

Dr. Saralamba’s research expertise include molecular biology, genotyping, and molecular diagnosis of tropical diseases. She has a special interest in molecular study of antimalarial drug target genes and genetic epidemiology of Plasmodium malariae and Plasmodium ovale from infected patients.
