Background

Dr. Chukiat Sirivichayakul is Associate Professor in the Department of Tropical Pediatrics. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Chulalongkorn University and Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from Mahidol University. He holds a Diploma of Pediatrics from Thai Medical Council. He works in the Hospital for Tropical diseases and involved in research and teaching. He teaches students from the Diploma, M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine in the topics related to tropical pediatrics.

Research

Dr. Chukiat is a pediatric researcher with specialization on vaccine trials and tropical diseases. His research interests include dengue infection, tropical parasitic diseases, intestinal parasites, and influenza. Dr. Chukiat has led and designed numerous studies on dengue infection, dengue vaccine trials and other diseases particularly among Thai children patients.
