Dr.
Natthida Sriboonvorakul is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical
Tropical Medicine. She has a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Chulalongkorn
University, Thailand. She is involved in research in the Department and
teaching at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Natthida is an expert in
clinical chemistry, analytical separation, chromatography and mass
spectrometry, and metabolomics study for biomarker discovery and translation.
Her research interest includes clinical study for the pathophysiology of severe
malaria related to acidosis and the contribution of unmeasured anions. She is
also especially interested in malaria mass spectrometry-based metabolomics
studies of clinical samples for the assessment and understanding of the
pathogenesis of acidosis in patients with severe malaria and other conditions
associated with acidosis.
