Background

Dr. Noppadon Tangpukdee is Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Tropical Medicine. He has an M.Sc. in Toxicology and Ph.D. in Tropical Medicine from Mahidol University. He holds a Diploma in Medical Microbiology awarded by the Institute for Medical Research, Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia. His duties include teaching at the Bangkok School of Tropical Medicine and research in the department. His work focuses on the clinical and safety aspects of malaria research.

Dr. Noppadon focuses on research relating to malaria and is particularly involved in a number of research projects relating to the clinical management of malaria. His publications have been recognized and used to set up a new policy for the management of malaria, for example, using primaquine to reduce malaria transmission.
