The Laboratory Animal Science Unit of Faculty of Tropical Medicine (FTM-LAU) is responsible for the management research of animal facilities to support both faculty members and outside institutions in their research, testing and teaching.

The aim of FTM-LAU is to monitor laboratory animal well-being, and the quality of animal research and safety of personnel according to ethical and scientific standards.
