At minimum, all activities involving biological materials must comply with the applicable national regulations, Mahidol University policies, other regulatory requirements and guidelines.

All work involving the use of biological materials meets control standards that protect laboratory personnel, the environment, and the community.

Mission of the FTM-IBC

  • Through clear policies and procedures, reduce the risk of potential occupational exposure and environmental harm from the use of biohazardous materials in research, teaching and services at FTM
  • Through providing the correct equipment and facilities, assist faculty staff and researchers to work safely with biological agents
  • To strengthen FTM personnel’s capacity through regular training and skill-building
